Cylinder Scoring is a serious issue caused by improper usage that can result in costly motor repairs. To avoid Cylinder Scoring, do not start the motor on a bank or run it when it's out of water. If you need to test the motor, make sure to do so in the river. If you notice no water coming out of the motor, stop using it immediately and check the impeller of the Water pump or the water outlet for blockages.

Our outboard motor does not come with gear oil, so you must prepare that yourself. Remember to add oil to the gear before use.
